Please can anyone help me????? While I'm in the cockpit certain airplanes that take off sound really horrible and doesn't make my traffic any realistic! It pretty much sounds like a vacuume cleaner taking off or a star wars ship flying by. I'm really surprised nobody else has this issue which really bothers me. I reinstalled traffic x 4 times and intalled the service pack also. Please can anybody help????????AngryCryCryCryCry

Reinstalling is not going to change it because those are the correct sounds installed by Traffic X.  I don't mind them.  The "Star Wars" effect you refer to is actually quite realistic (if you've ever been on the tarmac at a major airport when jet aircraft take off, you will hear sounds just like the ones in Traffic X).  But, if you feel they need to be changed then I am sure it could be done.  However, because I've never needed to make AI sound changes, I don't know how it is done.  That said, I would be confident that a Google search will probably prove helpful in this area as this kind of thing would generally be the same for all AI packages, not just Traffic X, and I feel sure that somebody else out there in Internet land would have done it before.

I fly very often and never heard planes like that on full throttle. There is one sound set for the other jets that are ok but when a b737 takes   Off it's the worst sound I ever heard! I don't think we are on the same page here but thanks anyway

Fair enough.  Check this link out: http://www.fsimzone.com/new/downloads-cat5.html  I found it through Google.  It may be of some help.  As well as the many sound files and packs available, a search through the files will find you a file called "Boeing 737-200 Sound Pack".  I don't know if these files are FS2004 specific, but the documentation and readme files will probably confirm that one way or the other.

Hi
If you are using Windows 64 bit, try turning your frame rate down to 30 fps.
This is a windows issue, unfortunately there is no patch available for this issue!

Regards Alan
