I am currently single FlightBoy, but I havnt always been Your comment is silly and stinks of somebody who hasn't got anywhere themselves. "Whats the rest of you romeos got planned? and sorry to all the single nerds on here ( i know there is a few ) least you can watch your Battle star or star trek in peace!" If you think thats "simply asking what other people are doing for valentines" well. . . . . . I wouldnt have said anything else on this topic anyway, simply because you brought up my comment Regards. |

SO we cancel valentines day?
Not at all, enjoy the occasion as much as you like.
But please don't tell me to join eHarmony, or call us nerd's for not having a partner.
Some of us, like me, may be going through a horrendous time after a few decades of marriage, and suffering greatly.
It's called tact.

Ill assume you enjoy them shows then and thats why you took offense but overaction would be a understatement. And its a flightsim forum.....were all nerds And feel free not to comment but if your single maybe its a good time to send someone a card! im thinking by your replys maybe your young so i wont comment on the "somebody who hasn't got anywhere themselves" as its seems playground talk is in fashion right now and im too old Flightboy |

I'm in Spain with school so no valentines day for me :/ Will make it up though when I'm back. Though, more importantly, as Dom said, pancake day soon |

We've recently had a baby so I might break my usual stance on Valentines day and do an extra night-feed to give her a rest. Maybe...
Certainly no stupid chocolates or shiny things.

@ FlightBoy - I have a particlar dislike to sci-fi as a matter of fact
I'm officially recognized as an adult by the government "maybe its a good time to send someone a card!" - Fail epically. Being single doesn't mean you should start looking straight away, especially after not long being single.. . . .oh dear, I stand by my comment that you are inexperienced in the relms of women. "i wont comment on the "somebody who hasn't got anywhere themselves" as its seems playground talk is in fashion right now and im too old" This is so ironic. I said "Your comment is silly and stinks of somebody who hasn't got anywhere themselves." in response to YOUR "playground talk" comment. . . .good grief. I don't want to fall out with you. . . I really don't, I like everybody here, but you ruined a perfectly good question/topic with "sorry to all the single nerds on here ( i know there is a few ) least you can watch your Battle star or star trek in peace!" |

Wasnt going too reply but, as i didnt know or care when/how/where the details of anyones love life it was a general statement to maybe try and show some empathy fo the obv single people i have upset unintentionally with my harmeless post about valentines I dont like everyone on here, i think that would be impossible but i respect people. And as i have said the nerd comment was in jest, most people would have taken it as that..esp on a forum dedicated to planes and flightsim And as reagrds to my love life alot of people i speak to regular on here know last year was a tricky year for me with a break after 4 years up but im not single now so maybe a little bit more into valentines this year than most i wont make excuses for myself as i dont feel the need NO SINGLE PEOPLE WERE HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST Flightboy |

Flightboy, the issue with your posts, which you have still failed to realise, is that you are making assumptions and joking about other peoples relationship issues without knowing the first thing about them. You say you had a hard time last year because you broke up with a girlfriend after 4 years, how old are you exactly, probably a relatively casual relationship no? Now, imagine that you’d been married for several times longer than that and had done all the things a married couple does, built a home together, raised children together etc. for example. Now imagine what it would be like for it to come to an end then and some young kid on a forum who knew nothing about you joked that you should stop being a nerd and join some dating organisation. Tact and respect are not your strongpoints I’m afraid... |

Mid 20's and causual after 4 years?? this post wasnt aimed at the married people, singles, divorces or space aliens with 3 midget love children, its a post about valentines day. I have spoke to martin and apologised but im at a loss as what that has to do with you? If your not intrested in valentines day or feel it may put you into a strop just move on to the next thread maybe? that would be Magic indeed Flightboy |

Oh you noticed that too! few threads like that about and i know i was going to message you! proves points can be had no matter what the form book says. Someone told me today arsenal were going to storm for the title this year as they only have to play teams "lower down" in the table, i just smiled! Theres going to be plenty more excitment this season I have Tickets for the visit of Milan in march so i cant win just hope we dont make it hard for ourselves in milan beforehand! Flightboy |
