I am so bored.
I haven't played any form of flight simulator for months, I don't have a games console (sold my PS3 - there are only so many times you can shoot somebody in the face, then teabag them) Any suggestions ? Any good book recommendations ? Any good videos I could watch on the internet ? Any thoughts will be appreciated. . . .I might go suicidal with this boredom. Thanks |

Well I would reccommend Michael Moore's collection of documentaries (Bowling for Columbine/Sicko). Both can be watched on youtube and both are just over 2 hours long.
VERY interesting. I watched Bowling For Columbine first over three years ago and always watch it now and again.

Yes it is. Have you watched Sicko? Also, you could watch Farenheit 9/11, but (not me) alot of people belive that Moore's points are unreasonable. I just think he hits people direct. Too direct for some.

Get DCS:BS or find an old copy of Falcon4.0 and mod it - you'll have plenty to keep you busy for a good 2 years or so whilst you just learn to master them.
Best regards, Vulcan. |

ohoh - I knew I'd find the other person in the world with Black Shark installed .. I actually still prefer Flaming Cliffs - esp as I finally have a system that does not hide in the corner when I click on that icon. Heck pick up a cheap copy of IL2:1946..I still fire it up at least once a week and i've been with that series since 2002.

DCS:BS is not that heavy - run it at a high res and turn AA off - makes the difference between 10 FPS and 80 FPS here (that is not an exaggeration).
I can also fly in a heavy MP environment with all the eye-candy and it is still smooth. I did find that NVG kills the perf though. Good job it is equipped for IFR. Best regards, Vulcan. |

Plywood is a composite material you know. The qualities of each material combine to make it more than the sum of it's parts.
