what does the vor/loc localiser switch do in 737 pilot in command do?
also app switch doesn,t work sometimes . any tips.

The VOR/LOC allows you to capture a course to/from (usually a "radial") a VOR beacon. LOC is to capture the localiser on an ILS approach.
For LOC you need to have the ILS freq for the runway dialled in on Nav1. For VOR, I can't remember if in PIC you can use Nav1 for the VOR frequency, or if you need to do it on the FMC. |

if not then my fmc doesn,t work

I don't see how the FMC would interfere with localizer capture (apart from obviously the NAV RAD page).

737 PIC doesn't have a NAV-RAD Page.
What Tom-a320 is saying is that the ILS should be automatically tuned by the FMC, i usually tune in manually anyway. |
