   this highly sophisticated night fighter was a serious rival to the british Mosquito but arrived to late to enter service in large enough numbers, it was the first aircraft to be fitted with ejector seats as standard. British test pilots after the war declared this aircraft to be one of the best aircraft they had flown, its handling and performance were superb.

	The light at the end of the tunnel is a freight train coming the other way !
